GE dishwasher code H2O: low water
Fixable with care
What it means
The dishwasher detected a low-water condition.
What to try
Unplug the dishwasher before any step beyond a quick look, and turn the water off before touching hoses.
- Check the inlet hose for kinks.
- If the code only appears on the 1-Hour Wash cycle, you can keep using other cycles until it’s serviced.
Call a technician if
- There are no kinks and the code appears on other cycles.
- It appears on 1-Hour Wash; GE says to schedule service for that.
Resetting a GE dishwasher
GE says switching the power off for a minute or two can clear a fault. For several codes it suggests turning the breaker off for about 30 seconds, then pressing Reset. If that doesn’t work, the dishwasher may need service.
