LG washer code dE: door not locking

What it means

The washer can’t confirm the door or lid is closed and locked.

What to try

Unplug the washer before any step beyond a quick look, and turn the water off before touching hoses.

1. Open the door, remove anything blocking it and close it firmly.
2. Front-load: turn the washer off and unplug it. Hold Start/Pause for 5 seconds, plug back in and restart.
3. Top-load (dL): clear anything blocking the lid lock. Avoid very humid locations for the washer.

LG’s usual reset: unplug the washer for 10 to 60 seconds (LG gives different times for different codes), plug it back in and restart. If the code persists, contact LG for service.
