LG washer code UE: load out of balance

What it means

The laundry is bunched up or the washer isn’t level, so the drum can’t spin safely.

What to try

Unplug the washer before any step beyond a quick look, and turn the water off before touching hoses.

1. Spread the laundry out evenly.
2. Wash bulky items such as blankets on their own, using the Duvet or Sportswear cycle if your washer has one.
3. Front-load: fill the drum to about two-thirds rather than packing it.
4. Top-load: don’t wash a single mesh laundry bag on its own; add a few other items.
5. Check the washer is level and doesn’t rock.

Resetting an LG washer

LG’s usual reset: unplug the washer for 10 to 60 seconds (LG gives different times for different codes), plug it back in and restart. If the code persists, contact LG for service.
