LG washer code Sud: too many suds (front-load)

What it means

The washer found too much foam and is running a suds-reducing routine, which adds about 2 hours to the cycle.

What to try

Unplug the washer before any step beyond a quick look, and turn the water off before touching hoses.

1. Let the cycle finish.
2. Use HE detergent only, and reduce the amount until the code stops appearing.

Resetting an LG washer

LG’s usual reset: unplug the washer for 10 to 60 seconds (LG gives different times for different codes), plug it back in and restart. If the code persists, contact LG for service.
