Samsung washer code 4C2: hot and cold hoses swapped

What it means

Water arriving at the cold inlet is very hot, so the washer thinks the supply hoses are crossed.

On models without a display, Samsung signals this with: Hot and Small (or Hot and Low) lights blinking.

What to try

Unplug the washer before any step beyond a quick look, and turn the water off before touching hoses.

1. Turn off both water valves.
2. Swap the supply hoses so each one goes to the matching inlet. On most installs that means blue to blue and red to red.
3. Turn the water back on and run a short cycle.

Samsung says no service is needed for this code.

Resetting a Samsung washer

Samsung’s basic reset for most faults: turn the washer off for 2 to 3 minutes, turn it back on and restart the cycle. If the same code comes back, request service.
